We Must Speak to Be Heard

Why Join LDSKCF?

This is NOT a Matanga group. Matanga is secondary. Our forefront is on our youth as they are the leaders of tomorrow. LDSKCF family is not to segregate individuals; it is about bringing the people with one vision together. More so it is not a group of popularity, but a place to feel that one belongs.

It is for that one person who finds themselves alone. This is a place for us to come together to collectively ease each other’s burden and to celebrate achievements. We encourage all members to give back to the community in one way or another like youth mentoring, volunteering etc.

Youth Group

We aim to have mentors for our youths, by empowering them by offering them a range of activities and practical advice to help young people become successful adults.

Senior Group

We aim on how to support the senior group through social activities, outing, help at home and other tasks that will be tailored to an individual and to guide them to services they may need within the community.

Kids Festivals & Family Celebrations

We aim for Kids to participate different festivals organised by LDSKCF. We aim when the school are closed to teach our children and youth about Kenya and its culture.

We aim to have Swahili lessons and cultural event (lets empower our children). We aim to have cultural nights, BBQ events, and Christmas party for families this way we will be able to socialise and have fun whilst we get to know one another.

Bereavement

We contribute £500 per bereavement from the group account per family and members are required to contribute at least £10 towards the bereavement. We also encourage members to offer spiritual, moral and emotional support.

Workshops

We aim for Members to attend different workshops without paying e.g Insurances, Taxation and Accountancy, Business and record keeping, Children education, Health, Family Budgeting learning about investments and liabilities.

Testimonials

I joined LDSKCF to be part of a community of like minded people who hold same values and pursuing common goals. LDSKCF captures our deep rooted spirit of ‘Harambee’ which ultimately brings us all together as one (Ubuntu): enabling us to stand with each other in good times and tough times.

The leadership is amazing when it comes to their dedication to the LDSKCF members. They function in a timely manner when Need arise, and they cater for Needs of all ages in a fair manner ranging from children to the elderly. This has been evidenced by how they steered the ship amidst great difficulties brought about by Corona Pandemic. As a community; although separated by distance, we felt close with each other in times when it would otherwise have been worrying & lonesome. I am grateful and feel fortunate to be part of this wonderful group. Together we have achieved alot; and we endeavour to continue in the same spirit.

LDSKCF is indeed home away from home for each one of us.

DSKCF is a blessing to us who understand its vision. I have known sally before she was born. I campaigned for her late father; The late Hon Kiruhi Kimondo, who was an MP of Starehe constituency. The family knew me before I became ill. Hence, seeing her lead LDSKCF group I can clearly see she has taken after her father steps.

Sally approach to things are calm but precise. Sally doesn’t says things just as they are. In regards to the community group. It’s clear that she leads the group with a sober mind & always humble when she interacts with members.

The group has unified members who are not known in the community to be supported equally within its community.
